I’m sure you’ve all heard about the new RapidKL LRT station extensions that just opened earlier this month, with 13 new stations added to the Kelana Jaya line and two new ones on the Ampang line (in addition to the 8 stations already starting operations earlier this year).

The extended Kelana Jaya line wends its way through major areas of Subang and Shah Alam, while the Ampang line connects you to various parts of Puchong and Kinrara, so it’s easier than ever to get to these places. The new Putra Heights station connects the Kelana Jaya and Ampang lines, so you can switch lines quite easily.

Not only are we getting new stations, the LRT themselves are getting upgrades too, with better air-conditioning, bigger windows, CCTV coverage, and a ‘Dynamic Route Map’ to help provide passengers with information on destinations and directions upon arrival to their chosen stations.

Now feels like as good a time as ever to start exploring further places in our city that we couldn’t reach as easily before, so here’s a list of places that you can now conveniently get to with the new LRTs!

IOI MALL, PUCHONG

IOI Mall has been around for a few years now, and finally us people who live further away and don’t feel like driving long distances can just hop on to the Ampang line LRT and stop at the IOI Puchong Jaya station. A short walk leads right to the mall, so you can catch your movies, grab a bite to eat, go bowling or karaoke-ing with friends, and shop with no hassles.

AYER HITAM FOREST RESERVE, PUCHONG

For all you jungle trekking junkies out there, you can make your way to the Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve by LRT now to get your nature fix! By stopping at either Bandar Puteri or Taman Perindustrian Puchong (TPP) stations, a short 7-minute drive is all it takes to reach the Taman Wawasan entrance to the forest and to begin your hike. Beautiful waterfalls and natural phenomena await within this forest reserve that spans over 1000 hectares. Plenty of space for you to explore and get down with nature!

DA:MEN, USJ 1

This newly-opened mall in Subang, dubbing itself an Asian lifestyle mall, is now accessible through public transport! By stopping at the USJ 7 station on the Kelana Jaya line, you’re a 5-minute walk away from the mall. With it’s wide assortment of food to eat, quirky clothing stores, 10,000-square feet beauty haven, and an artisanal concept marketplace from Singapore, you’ll find no end of things to do at Da:men.

FARM IN THE CITY, SRI KEMBANGAN

You might have heard about this petting zoo in Sri Kembangan, with it’s myriad of animals that you can interact with, including alpacas, miniature ponies, prairie dogs, wallabies, and deer, and other activities like a fruit and vegetable farm, a butterfly garden, horse riding, an aviary, and a reptile cavern. It’s pretty near one of the new LRT stations, the Puchong Perdana station on the Ampang line, and it only takes a short drive to get to the farm from there. Hail a cab or grab an Uber and you’re all set to hang out with some furry friends!

SKY PARK @ ONE CITY, USJ 25

If you want a meal with a view, this is definitely the place to go. Sky Park is one of three main malls in One City, and their top floor (which is 10 storeys up!) has a beautiful open air garden and a multitude of eateries for you to choose from to relax while overlooking Subang Jaya. Don’t look down if you’re scared of heights though, the floor is made of glass and completely see-through down to the bottom floor! Sky Park is easily accessible by stopping at the USJ 21 station on the Kelana Jaya line, it’s just a 5-minute drive or a short walk away to the mall!

Travelling trip to Kuala Lumpur and Gambang

This trip cover 4 areas , Kuala Lumpur , Bandar Baru Bangi , Shah Alam and  Gambang  in within  3 Days  . Only myself and my 2 teeenage boys going for this trip .

The reason for this trip :
1. buy MSI computer for my son at Plaza Low Yatt.
2. visit my in laws at Bandar Baru Bangi . Treats with special Aidil Fitri BBQ .
3. buy clothes at Aeon Shopping Mall for my son ( new Aeon Mall at section 13 , Shah Alam )
4. send my Uitm's son back to his university , Shah Alam .
5. visit my daughter at her college at Gambang . One of the interesting place to visit in Gambang is Bukit Gambang Water Park , a popular holiday spot for the family .

At Kuala Lumpur , we stayed at our favorite hotel , Seri Pacific .  As usual , the service is very good . They had made some new face lift at their reception counter which is look more beautiful and add some safety feature  by introducing hotel lock for the hotel guest lift . I think this is due to so many "unwanted case" happening to our world nowadays .

Plaza Low Yatt . A good place for Hi Tech gadgets in Kuala Lumpur . The price list is reasonable . My son bought an MSI computer with good graphic card and fast processor I7  . For MSI brands  , the price tag between RM3,500 to RM12,000 , you can choose what's your preference , specification  and most important is your  budget . The higher the specification , the more it will cost and  more the budget .

Aidil Fitri 2016 featuring " Izzat_anuar "

Alhamdulillah after our fasting in a month of Ramadhan , today 1st of Syawal , we celebrate our Aidil Fitri . Normally for  Aidil Fitri , we go back to our kampong at Kuala Terengganu . It is a must
since at this occasion most of our relatives and friends from far also come back and everybody  have a opportunity  to visit , meet and greets each other . Furthermore being one of the main festive in Malaysia , there will be long holiday leave , so everybody looking forward to return to their home town .

In the morning of this festive day , we go to the mosque for special prayer . After that we go and meet the elderly and close relatives houses and asked for forgiveness . Normally we wear our traditional attire , baju melayu for the men and baju kurung for the women . Obviously for our culture  , we prepared and served the variety of traditional foods such as ketupat , rendang , tapai , nasi dagang , nasi minyak and homemade cookies for those who visit us . It's like a party or we call it as an "open house " which is open to relatives and friends .


Someone asking me why today posting headlines  is ..Aidil Fitri2016 featuring "izzat_anuar "   ?
It is because , I really love the way of this creative young man ,  tooks photo and sharing in his social network, instagram ,  with his funny caption  . He was previously a schoolmate of my oldest son since their primary school . Now his family move and stay in Perak but very often he do come back to Kemaman to visit his school friends ,  especially during Aidil Fitri . Thanks for coming !

Iftar or Dinner at Shell Out Kemaman

Latest : 2016 . This restaurant already been relocated to Gong Limau , near District  Hospital .

Do you like to try a " shell-out " style dishes in Kemaman ? There is a small restaurant called  as Lorong Kaler , Bukit Mentuk  which served the menu . The foods is a mixture of seafoods such as crab and shell . Operating time start from 6 pm .

We had our dinner here for several occasions . The foods is nice and tasteful . The price tag is RM20 per person . Give a try and you will love it .

Holiday at Shah Alam early Ramadan 2016

This year , the first day of Ramadan , we had experienced spend our day at Shah Alam . It is a good experienced where we had our sahur at Hailam Kopitiam and iftar at one of many restaurant at section 7 . Our activities , visit our son and  early hari raya shopping at Jakel , Aeon Mall and GM Klang .

For terawih , we go and pray at nearby mosque which is not very far from our hotel . For info we stayed at Hotel De Art , section 7 . which is near to Uitm , I-City and a mosque ( Masjid Baru Seksyen 7 , Shah Alam ) .

Wish to all our muslim bother and sister , Selamat Menjalani Ibadah Puasa .

New College life 2016

SEMOGA ALLAH S.W.T MEMBERI KEJAYAAN 

Congratulation my sweetie for the success of your enrollment in the college .  Your school days had been over . Its a new episode in your life . Now you are a college girl . The most important , in order to achieve  your ambition , study hard and smart , create a new friends  , confident , determination in whatever you are doing  , active participation in college activities , and target for good grade . As your parents , we are always at your side  . Last but not least , always remember and pray to Allah S.W.T .

Holiday at Bukit Keluang Resort

This is our 2nd time stayed at this resort . We went for 2D1N holiday . The resort located at Besut , Terengganu  and ideal place to stay while you have your transit before you go to Pulau Perhentian or Redang Island . The resort also located right to Bukit Keluang which is a popular beach and hill  in Besut . The beach is clean , beautiful and you can swim at the sea . Beside that those who like to have jungle trekking you can explore this beautiful hill and watch the beautiful sunrise . From my visit , I can see a lot of tourist group doing their hiking at this area but I didn't try since we didn't bring the right gears .

There are more infrastructure introduced at the beach such as foods stall , toilet ...etc .. compared to my previous visit . Hopefully tourist and local authority keep on maintained and taking care of this good facilities . My comment ; please repair the bridge at the seaside towards the hill as this is one of the attraction over here .. its been destroyed due to wear and tear by the sea water especially during monsoon season .

A little bit on the resort , the design and layout look good . The lighting is eco friendly . The receptionist very friendly and reception concept is open . But the resort looks ageing , most of the room looks outdated with poor old blackboard TV signal reception  . The bathroom is terrible and really need a maintenance . This is a real let down .... The garden and swimming pool looks great , but again the pools very dirty which is full of dirt , sand and leaves . With this all situation , I'm sure it will turn away all the tourists from coming back again which is great upset to this resort business .

Hope the hotel management will review and spends some budget to improve the situations . I believe with some maintenance , good housekeeping , a few facelift to the room ,  the resort will be made to come back . We don't mind to pay and spends the day more at the resort if the ambient is conducive . With great review from the guest , it will made more tourist flocking at this resort . Don't forget , beside your resort , your another main attraction is your location at Bukit Kluang hill and the scenic beach .
