Day 1 :
Today we woke up early at 4:00 am , coz we have to leave home to Kuantan airport at 4:30 am . I rented a van with a driver for RM150 to the airport for one way . Our flight to Kuantan at 6:45 am . We reached KLIA after 45 min flight . Once arrived , we have our breakfast at the food garden , 2nd floor at the domestic terminal KLIA . After breakfast , we headed to LCCT by a family limousine . For info , I recommended you to purchased the family limousine ticket once you come out from the arrival hall to avoid any problem arise with the driver . The fare that you have to pay is RM99.90 per trip.
At LCCT , we check in our baggage .... baggage bag drop ! There are so many Air Asia passenger at the LCCT since it is still a school holiday . Our check in progress took very smoothly , Alhamdulillah . For this time , we come very early compared to last year trip to Seoul , which caused us very rushing from check in baggage until boarding .
We boarding our Air Asia AK456 flight at 11:20 am . The flight take off at 12:00 noon and arrived Ho Chi Minh , Vietnam , after 1 hour 45 min . The flight was fully booked . I am sure Air Asia boss , Datuk Tony Fernandes have a wide smile on his face ... Once the captain announced that we are already going to landed at the HCM International airport , I look through the plane window and see the sky view of HCM city . For me , the city is quiet big and its growing .
From what I read from some experienced from the blogger , they did mentioned that the Vietnamese Immegresen very rude .... but it didn't happened to me and my family , syukur Alhamdulillah ! The process comes very smooth until you pick up your baggage . We buy our taxi fare at the counter before we exit arrival hall , advisable ! . We choose Vinasun taxi ( this is recommended , reliable and most trusted company ) , the fare is 200VND ( RM30 ) . Forgot to share with you all , actually before our trip here , my second son friend and her mother ( who used to be his teacher too ) who live in HCM , did invite us for a lunch at their service apartment at Sherwood Condonomium . They also offered to fetch us from the airport . Since I already pay for 1 taxi , so we ended 2 cars going to the hotel . Our plan , to check in our booking Kingston Hotel first then to my son's friend apartment .
After check in the 2 rooms , one suite and one deluxe , then we directly proceed to the apartment . The service apartment is very beautiful complete with fitness center and swimming pool . We have a wonderful lunch over there . The family was very kind and full of hospitality . We spends our time there for almost 2 hours and another very generous , they even asked their vietnamese maid and the driver to sent and accompanied us to the Ben Thanh market for some shopping introduction .
Near the market , my wife did some shopping at Abdul Aziz Shop and we have famous Vietnam Pho at Hjh Basiroh restaurant for our dinner . At that area , we also saw Pink Saigon Hotel , which is famous among the blogger . Now at least , we have some ideas where the market situated and some others shopping shop plus the halal restaurant .... it is not very far from our Kingston Hotel . Just a walking distant ! From my opinion , there are a lot of hotel at the district 1 , and they are close next to each other . Talking about halal foods , ... there are a choiceful of restaurant that you can choose .... VN halal , Hjh Basiroh , Melayu Champa restaurant etc ...
That evening , my wife already test her skill to do bargain for the clothes and the blouse ( for daughter ) that she bought .... almost 40 % from the value the shopper mentioned ..
At the hotel , we booked our tomorrow agenda , to visit Delta Mekong at the reception counter . We bought the package with 5 adults and 1 children for 130USD including halal foods ...... really looking forward for the tour !!!!!
Another observation , the hotel staff was very friendly , helpful and full of hospitality and they keep our passport , and will give back during our departure time ................
