Bought some cakes and Vietnamese noodles from Secret Recipe restaurant .

Suria Cherating Resort ... away day

Hi ... its seems that it is really a tight and happening weeks to me and the group of companies.

So , I have to take a break and rejuvenate myself to think on company future and proper planning for moving forward by having an away day for 2D1N with my collegues at Suria Cherating Resort . By the way , it is not very far from my home town . It is 3 star hotel located at Cherating , one of the famous beach in Pahang .

At afternoon , I check in at one of the suite room which is located at 3rd floor and facing the sea . At that time , there are 2 group of guests from the government check in the hotel too . It look like the hotel is a good choice as an away day and for seminar . The situation of the hotel is quiet and peaceful , really suitable for the said activities .

The suite room is big and clean with a king size bed , dining table and sofa . But the LCD tv is small in contrast with the room . Overall it is suitable and affortable with the price . They served breakfast , lunch and dinner at Cilipadi Cafe . The breakfast buffet not so many choices but if you wish , you can order the ala carte from the menu .

The rest of the day , we have a small group together to find for the resolution for the good of the company .

At night , my wife , daughter and son join me and put the night together at the resort . Early in the morning , my wife and daughter left the hotel for their commitments since the day is mid of the week .

On the second day continue with our brainstorms , summarize and conclude our resolutions . Then at 2 pm , we check out ... We pray to Allah that our year2013 resolutions will be on our side , Insyaallah !

Free Kuala Lumpur Dataran Merdeka Heritage Tour

Free Kuala Lumpur Dataran Merdeka Heritage Guided Tour :

This free guided tour tooks place for almost 2 and half hours and its cover 11 historical places in Kuala Lumpur during the British colonials era . The most exclusive , they allowed the tourists to enter Royal Selangor Cub, which is strictly for members only .

The heritage places :
1. Dataran Merdeka
Previously known as Padang Selangor , the place for the British colonial played the cricket . By 11
August 1957 , the Union Jack flag replacement with Malaysian flag ceremony was held over here .
And by 1st January 1990 this place was renamed to Dataran Merdeka .

2. Kuala Lumpur City Gallery.
The buiiding design inspiration based on Moghul-Indian architectul and was built in 1898 . And now the
function as Tourist Information Center .

3. Kuala Lumpur City Library
Built in 1989 and ever since used as the Library .

4. Victorian Foundation .
A preserved more than 100 years old fountain . Believed it was brought from England installed in Kuala
Lumpur .

5. Restoran Warisan .
Formerly The Chartered Bank and was built in 1919 by A C Norman . Also known as Muzium Sejarah
Negara before conversion to Restoren Warisan .

6. Muzium Textile National .
Built by an architect , A B Hubback in 1905 . Previously this building known as Stesen Keretapi Negeri
Persekutuan and Jabatan Kerja Selangor .

7. Sultan Abdul Samad Building .
Its took 3 years for the completion of this building , from 1895 to 1897 by the architect A C Norman
and R A J Bidwell . Been as Pusat Pentadbiran Persekutuan Tanah Melayu in 1897 and as Mahkamah
Tinggi and Mahkamah Tertinggi in 1972 . Now it is under Kementerian Penerangan , Komunikasi dan
Kebudayaan .

8. Higher Court Building .
Built in 1909 by architect A C Norman . Now used as Kementerian Penerangan , Komunikasi dan
Kebudayaan office .

9. City Theatre Panggung Bandaraya .
The most older theatre in Malaysia . Built by A B Hubback in 1896 .

10. The Cethedral St Mary
Built in 1895 and the most older Anglican church in Malaysia .

11. Royal Selangor Cub .
Formed in 1884 , as sosial and cricket club , for the inspiring and growth communities during that time
until now . It is exclusively priveliage for the tourists who follow this guided tour to enter this most
elegant ,expensive and the oldest club in Malaysian

Premiera Hotel ... new kids in town

This is my first new business trip to Kuala Lumpur for the year of 2013 . I stayed in Kuala Lumpur for 3D2N . This time , I booked a new hotel , Hotel Premiera operated by Impiana Group . This hotel is just open and still under soft opening . The reception for check in and out , is at the 25th floor . Around 50 out of 100++ rooms is open for guests at this moment . The room package is without breakfast since the restaurant still under preparation .

What I like most , the hotel located just beside to my HQ . Its really convenient for me to go in and out from the office ,just a short walking distant , Another advantage , it is near to shopping heavens ... jln Tunku Abdul Rahman , Pertama Complex , SOGO , Maju Junction , Hauz Depot and many others . It is near to the eating places too.............

The minus point , the hotel parking lots was limited and you have to fight with the office tenants . But you can park at the area nearby but it cost quiet expensive . Other than that , its fine ! This hotel going to be a good rival to another 4 star hotel nearby , the Quality Hotel .

To my opinion , this hotel will be main choice for those who like to do shopping in this area especially during Ramadan ...

Anyhow , give a try ..............
