How to fill in ... " bin " or "binti "... for booking your flight or train ticket overseas ?

 Hai , meet you all again . It is not too late for wishing your all , happy new year 2018. Hope this year will be more prosperous and a wonderful year .

Where did you spend for family trips during last school holiday ? We had our trips and holiday in Europe . I will share my holiday trips experienced in my next coming post .

Today , I would like to share how to fill in your name for booking flight or train ticket based on my experienced . As we know , normally names for Malaysian ,  Malay have ... "bin "( for boys or men ) ...  or "binti "( for girls/women ) , which means ... "son of " or "daughter of " , respectively . So how we going to write the name for the booking ? If you go thru website " Tripadvisor " , this had been discussed before in their forum .

For info  , our recently trips , we fly with Emirates  ( Klia - Dubai- Amsterdam / Lon - Dubai - Klia ) and EasyJet  ( AMS - Basel EuroAirport  ). For train , we boarded Eurostar ( Paris - London ) and TGV Lyria ( Geneva - Paris ).

We always confused on how and what to fill in our name while filling booking information especially on 1st name and family name , as the note always reads please fill in your name as was in the passport . But if you using  travel agent , it's will be no issue since they will do all the necessary .

For example , the name in the passport reads : Wan Alias Ariff bin Wan Ahmad  ( this is not my true name ).

So below is what I fill the name and we don't have any problem to boarding the flight and the trains :

1. Emirates Airlines :
    First name : Wan Alias Ariff bin
    Family name : Wan Ahmad
    Note : I had called Emirates on this and they said OK . We using mobile boarding while flying to        Amsterdam and using printed boarding while flying from London . No issue with boarding .

2. EasyJet , Eurostar and TGV Lyria :
    First name : Wan Alias Ariff
    Family name : Wan Ahmad
    Note : We using both mobile boarding and printed boarding ticket . No issue with boarding .

3. AirAsia :
   Given name / First name : Wan Alias Ariff bin
   Surname / Family name : Wan Ahmad
   Note : No issue with boarding .


Reminder :
Please don't forget to show your passport together with your boarding ticket or you will be denied for boarding . Hope this help and ease your problems to booking flight and train for your next holidays .
