Trip to Bali : Day 3

Day 3   : Bali


Wake up early in the morning and performed solat suboh  ( 6:21 am syuruk ) . The time in Bali is same time with Malaysia . At 6:30 the sun already raise and bright . We have our breakfast at 7:30 am at the hotel restaurant since we promised with our pak supir , we will be ready at 9:00 am  . For info. , this hotel provides the halal foods @ signboard . I recommend Malaysian muslim  to stay coz it is much easier to eat . In Bali , it is difficult to find normal halal foods restaurant since majority they are malay Hindu , but the good things for the fast foods chains eg KFC , McDonalds , Burger Kings etc ...most of them are halal .


Our itenary for  today  :

Morning :
- 1st visit  : We plan to watch Barong dance . This dance starts at 9:30 am for duration of 1 hour . The storyline is about the battle of bad and good spirit . The entrance fee for the shows is Idr 100,000 per pax . For me, Kecak dance is much more impressive compare to this dance . So Kecak dance must be put as first priority not to be miss while you are in Bali ! and forget about this Barong dance if you are out of the budget .....

- 2nd visit : We went to the coffee plantation . Over here , you will be warmthly welcome and give a guided tour to the coffee trees , meet the fox ..which produced luwak coffee , see the variety of coffee beans @ the herbs , the process of making coffee and finally taste the 13 flavours of coffee n teas drinks plus the chocolate for FOC  . But if you want to try the luwak coffee , you have to pay Idr 30,000 ... since they are the most expensive coffeee in the world . But we didn't try since we are sceptical on the hukum , eventhough according to Pak Agong , Indonesian majlis fatwa said "halal".....  you can google for details on the hukum !!!. We bought some coffee as the souveniers .

Afternoon :
-3rd visit  : Kintamani , to see the Mount Batur , the active volcano and the Batur lake . It is located towards south of Kuta at the highlands . Normally , it is recommended to go there during morning inorder to get the clear picture of the mountain . The area mostly getting the rains especially at afternoon and evening . We reached there after 2 hours drive . The weather still clear and cool . The temperature is around 20 degree C . It is much more cooler when the winds blowing . According to Pak Agong , there are 2 halal restaurant you can find over here . We choose Batur Sari , the other one , I forgot to ask him . We have a nice lunch and performed Solat jamak at the musolla provided by the restaurant . When we left , its start to rain ....... By the way , we have to pay Idr 10,000 as entrance fee to Kintamani .

-4th visit  : Tampaksiring . This is the place of Hindu taking bath with the holy water . It still raining when we arrived . We have to pay for Idr 20,000 per pax as an entrance fee.

- 5th visit : Tegallalang paddy terrace . When we arrived here , the rain already stop . Very beautiful green view . Spends some time enjoying the view and bought 2 pieces of broken glass plate as a ole ole over here . Then we drove down from the highland , back to Kuta . Along the journey , we can see a lot of tradisional craving , woods arts , stone arts , furniture ... very beautiful and full of artistic ... that why Balinese art and concept are accepted in the world . For info , I am also in  love of Bali deco and its  interior concept . Just thinking . may be one day if  I can start business ... trading of Balinese art and deco !! who knows ... Insyaallah .


Other than that , we stopped by an art gallery shop . Spend sometime but we didn't buy anything , just enjoyed the gallery . After that we went to Krisna supermarket again for another small shopping spree . Next we went to Wong Solo restaurant for our dinner .

Evening :
Back to the hotel . At 7:00 pm , we went to Kuta Square for sight seeing . Its just 10 min walk from our hotel . This area is quiet happening area where you can see a lot of tourist either shopping , dinner , clubbing and sight seeing like us . Took some photo at interesting places available eg Hard rock cafe , hotel etc ... For info the price for goods here a little bit expensive compared to Jakarta or Bandung . So the best thing is just doing a window shopping .... Spend over there for 2 hours , then back to the hotel for another good night rest .


End of day 3

4th stop .....Tampaksiring
