Day 5 : Beijing - Shanghai
Today is our last day in Beijing and at this afternoon we will be transfer to Shanghai via the bullet train . Last night we repacking our things and its seem that our luggage is "growing" and because of that , we have to buy one additional bag . I told my wife that while we are in Shanghai , no "big " shopping will be allowed or else we have to pay excess baggage which is much more expensive ...
In the morning , after having our breakfast ,we start to check out from our hotel . For me , Holiday Inn Express Beijing is one of the comfortable 4 star hotel which is very spacious and clean , salute to POTO travel for arranging this hotel for us . What I heard from their representative , previously they are using another hotel chain while their clients stayed in Beijing , China .
Today activities :
1. Shopping at the jewelry shop .
2. Visit World trade Plaza and the China Largest LCD Screen . The location also near to the Bird Nest Stadium and the Cube . Over here we spent some time taking photo and playing with the artificial snow . Well , even though it is artificial but it is enough for us to have an experienced with snow in Beijing .
3. Performed our solat at the Niujie Mosque . It is one of the oldest mosque in Beijing . You can find most of the chinese muslim pray at this mosque and many of them stayed serrounded this area . We feel really happy and proud of getting to know them and exchange our words as muslim brothers and sisters ! One of them , a teenager known as Musa and an iman . For record , most of muslim in China stayed at the north part , Xin Xiang and Harbin . After solat we went to the nearby Muslim Super Market which is the biggest halal supermarket in Beijing . We bought something for eating inside the bullet train during our journey to Shanghai .
4 . At 3 pm , we went to the Beijing Train station to catch our bullet train . The staion is very huge and I saw so many people or passengers waiting for the train to their different destination in China . After waiting for 1 hour , it is the time for us to leave Beijing . We say good bye to Amin and really misses this Chinese young men who can speak Bahasa Indonesia . .... Our journey took us for 5 hours and with the speed of 300 KMph . Actually Shanghai is situated south part of Beijing and the temperature is not as extreme cooler compared to Beijing . But along the journey , we can see the snow at some part of the area , maybe the train track go up to north first which is much more cooler then moving forward to the south . We arrived at Shanghai railway station around 10 pm . The temperature is around 2 to 3 Degree C .Over there we was greet by a lady tourist guide by the name of Mary. She is a beautiful chinese lady with english fluent speaking . We proceed to our bus for our hotel at Sanlin . Our hotel in Shanghai is another chain of Holiday Inn Express and will take another 30 min drive . Along the way to the hotel , Mary share a little bit on Shanghai which is much more modern city and the cost of living very high over here . She also brief on the agenda for tomorrow . ....
