Today I would like to share with you all my business trip to Singapore . There are several ways of taking flight from Kuantan to Singapore , either transit via KLIA by MAS or direct flight to Singapore by FireFly . I choose to fly with FireFly since it is a direct flight to Singapore which only took us 45 minutes for arrival compared to flight via KLIA that might took 3 to 4 hours due to transit . The fare is return RM500 per person .
For info , FireFly is a full-service point -to-point carrier and a full subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines . It operates from two hubs - Sultan Abdul Aziz Subang Airport and Penang International Airport . The airline has also been granted rights to fly from/to Singapore to Subang , Kuantan , Terengganu , Malacca and Ipoh . This is my first experienced flying with FireFly . They are using aircraft ATR 700-500 with 72 numbers of passengers . Pls refer their website for details : fireflyz.com.my
My trip to Singapore is for 3D2N with my management buddy . Since it is business trip , my business partner recommended and booking for us the Carlton Hotel , Bras Basah Road . It is not very far from Changi Airport and their office . It is also near to famous shopping vicinity , Orchard Road and tourist attraction area , Marina Bay . It is just like Bukit Bintang and Suria KLCC area in Kuala Lumpur . The hotel room is very spacious and comfortable with free breakfast and fast WIFI connection . Next to our hotel , you can find the famous Raffles Hotel , Raffles City Mall , CHIME foods court , Bras Basah Shopping Complex ( under refurbishment ) and Singapore Management University . And it is just walking distant to Singapore Flyer , the Marina Sands "Iconic "Ship" building " and the bay of Garden , which is really full of colors during night time .
As muslim , we always looking for halal foods when we feel hungry . In Singapore , most of the fast foods chain namely , KFC , McDonalds , Pizza , Chicken Rice Shop etc ..are halal ... If you are in foods court ( which normally located at the Mall basement ) you can find one or two halal stall . Be free to ask OR just look for the Halal sign . For dinner , we try the middle east foods at Arab street area near Basiroh Road and not very far from Sultan Mosque .
In our free time , we have a chance to visit the Sentosa Island . We took the train from VIVO City mall to the island which have 3 stops , namely USS station , Imbiah Station and Beach station . For info , I had blogged my holiday experienced in Sentosa with my family which
I mainly spend my time at USS area only ... you can read it from my previous blog ! But during this time , I have more time to explore the island until the beach station .....and visit many of other attraction , namely Merlion Statue , IFly . Cable car , Sosilo Beach ...In this trip also , I have a chance ride a MRT at the VIVO City station to the Bugis Station and finally took a taxi to our hotel .
As a conclusion , Singapore is really a discipline country , beautiful , systematic , very clean and shaddy@ cool country due to high rise building and big tree concept . Nice country to visit . The airport concept also very nice . But it is not real attraction for Malaysian tourist ,coz due to the current exchange rate nowadays ie SGD $1.00 = RM2.62 . In other words , "Works" in Singapore but "Spends" in Malaysia !... but there will always ways and means if you really want to visit Singapore .. " budget traveller " . I will share this for my next trip to Singapore ......
